I am very impressed by your networking skill and praise of others. What a great idea to just ASK for the sale, and to get others to ask for the sale for you! Asking people to buy your book, can be daunting especially when marketing isn’t the area you specialise in. My solution has been to talk about my book, to bring it into the conversation somehow… whether it is on the Web via my blog or in face-to-face conversation. I don’t directlyly ask people to buy it but rather wet their appetite to want more… and I then direct them to where they can find out more about the book, and hopefully buy it.
