While I notice it the first time they mention their own book, the second (and subsequent) time it turns annoying.  The person is there for their personality, and though their work got them the comfy seat on stage, the audience does not care much about the bundle of pages they already plan to check out.  They want to relate on a personal level - to sense the humanity in the author.  That is a huge selling point.  Thanks for the reminder!</description>
